never too old

As I dressed my 3 year old in her Halloween costume for the ward trunk or treat, she asked “and mom, what are you going to be?”  Oh, I’m too old for this stuff, I thought.  Then as we walked in that night, I saw this 70 year-old clown and realized, we’re never too old to feel like a kid again.

Bless this man’s heart! I bet he’s a delightful man to be around!

This really is a great image, very much a Mormon Moment. My kids & I have had a blast at trunk or treats; and I’m always surprised by some of the adults’ creativity. Anyone know if trunk or treats are going to be in the next edition of the Church Handbook?

Hmmm…John Wayne Gacy was a clown, too. Just sayin’…

I did a double-take to make sure this wasn’t a certain former BYU football coach. But nope, the clown was smiling.
