Today I gave a presentation to the William & Mary chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Society on “Mormons as Minorities” in which I discuss some of my research on Mormon legal and political history (and other stuff). If you are interested, you can listen to the presentation here.

    Nate, Thanks for your presentation. Thinking about how the church treats gays, who are a minority, it’s a shame that we didn’t really learn the lesson of being Christ-like to minorities, rather we learned to get out of the perception of being a minority as soon as you can and use the iron fist against the ‘other’ whenever you can get away with it.
