Blogroll update

I’ve gotten a complaint that our blogroll is full of blogs that haven’t been updated in months or are now defunct. That’s a definite possibility, alas. I haven’t been keeping up the blogroll particularly well.

I’m going to do a little bit of pruning over the next week or so. I’ll be removing blogs that don’t appear to be updated regularly (at least monthly). In the mean time, you’ve got a blog you would like us to consider adding to the blogroll, please let me know. If I mistakenly remove your active blog, let me know. And ditto for any other comments or complaints.

Hey Kaimi, that wasn’t a complaint, so much as noting that Mormon blogging appears to have largely been a fad that passed after a few months. Most blogs die shortly after starting with a burst of posts.

For everyone else, we were discussing this over at Dave’s.

Whoops. I don’t know why that happened. The link should be Dave’s.

Well, since we’re complaining about the blogroll…

What’s with the “Creative Writing” appelation?

Not that I mind being in the Mormon arts and culture ghetto — I’ve got great company there. But I (and I’m on record here at T&S with this) can’t stand the term “creative writing.”

How about something like Mormon Arts and Culture?

Well, it started out as “Art Blogs” but that confused everyone. I agree, “Creative Writing blogs” is kind of junior-high-English-class sounding.

I wouldn’t mind if you removed the link to “A Season of Joy”…it’s a little on the fringe & she tosses quotes from the temple around a bit too freely.

… and hits to “A Season of Joy” just hit all-time highs.

Plus, it’s p0rn0graphic — well, sort of: there’s a .gif file with a sperm colliding with an egg.

(…and “A Season of Joy” surpasses T&S in web traffic…)

I will step forward and solicit an opportunity to have my blog-site listed at T&S.
