Oaks<\/strong> of the Twelve, on God&#8217;s love and law:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Despite mortal confusion over the relationship between love and law, love does not supercede or render inapplicable law or God&#8217;s commandments. Mercy cannot rob justice.<\/li>\n<li>Counsels a balanced response rather than extreme reactions (ignoring it or bringing harsh family disapproval) to &#8220;cohabitation&#8221; by adult children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elder Robert D. Hales<\/strong> of the Twelve, against secularism and atheism:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Atheism &#8230; is spreading across the world.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Without God, &#8230; our mortal experiences would have no purpose.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Bore a moving testimony that God lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elder Jorge F. Zeballos<\/strong> of the Seventy, on the Atonement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;God will not require more than the best that we can give.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elder Tad R. Callister<\/strong> of the Seventy, on the Restoration:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joseph Smith restored knowledge of four fundamental facts not recognized by contemporary Christianity.<\/li>\n<li>Some people get sidetracked and lose their faith over minor issues: &#8220;There will always be some intellectual crisis looming on the horizon.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elder Kent D. Watson<\/strong> of the Seventy, on being temperate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temperance (avoiding anger and pride) is a divine attribute of Jesus Christ, a spiritual gift available through the Holy Ghost.<\/li>\n<li>Like tempered glass or tempered steel, a <em>tempered soul<\/em> is one that has gained increased spiritual strength.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Elder Neil L. Anderson<\/strong> of the Twelve, on repentance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Testifies of the Savior&#8217;s overpowering love for a repentant soul.<\/li>\n<li>Apart from the rare unforgiveable sin against the Holy Ghost, &#8220;there is no sin that cannot be forgiven.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>President Boyd K.
