I was reeling a bit from the diagnosis <!--more-->and the off-hand comment that this might take \u201cawhile\u201d to go away. Middle school is hard enough without a partially paralyzed face; the humiliation and awkward moments caused by it are painful to contemplate. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Calibri;\">When the PA stepped out to find the doctor and consult about the need for a neurologist, I turned to my daughter. I was grasping at straws when I asked her, \u201cDid your father\u2019s blessing say anything about you being sick this year? I don\u2019t remember it saying anything about you being sick.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Calibri;\">\u201cNo, Mom,\u201d she said with\u00a0her sloping,\u00a0half-smile. \u201cIt just said that I\u2019d be embarrassed sometimes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Calibri;\">Yes, now I recall. In August, she was told that there would be embarrassing moments in seventh grade, but that it would be okay\u2014because she is a good girl, a righteous girl. Her Heavenly Father is proud of her. He is <em style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: normal;\">never<\/em> embarrassed by her.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 10pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Calibri;\">A moment of gratitude for sweet girls, inspired husbands, and loving Fathers.
