{"id":3460,"date":"2006-09-28T12:44:19","date_gmt":"2006-09-28T16:44:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/?p=3460"},"modified":"2006-09-28T12:46:14","modified_gmt":"2006-09-28T16:46:14","slug":"joseph-and-moses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/index.php\/2006\/09\/joseph-and-moses\/","title":{"rendered":"Joseph and Moses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most are acquainted with the passage in D&#038;C 130 where God gives a fascinating response to Joseph&#8217;s query about the Second Coming:<!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nJoseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore let this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is interesting in all sorts of ways, but here&#8217;s a connection I ran across today.  That last phrase is almost identical to the answer God gave Moses when Moses pled to see the Promised Land:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>And I besought the LORD at that time, saying&#8230;I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.  But the LORD was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the LORD said unto me, <i>Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter<\/i>. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Deutoronomy 3:23-26 (italics added)<\/p>\n<p>Did Joseph ever make that connection?
