\nHe says he is talking to young adults. I keep looking at my brother. Lots of important choices! Young adults can be irresponsible, I think. I don’t think they should make that important of decisions. Scriptures, prayer, etc. The young adults should do the right beings so they can make those decisions. They need to fight against wrong. Fight for the right. (That’s a lot of fighting.) They better marry wisely. They should listen to the spirit. And be prepared. He said we should exercise faith. If we exercise, we get strong. If you want to be strong physically, you exercise. And it is the same with faith. Come to yourself like the prodigal son. If you come to yourself, God will come to you. Ask: what can I do to be better? He will guide you.<\/p>\n
\nWe need help from God. He helps us. Mother love is important. Mothers have a sacred trust. They love kids so much. I think Elder Holland sounds so strong. I can’t even explain. It’s like I can hear the Lord when Elder Holland is talking. I know conference is supposed to be super boring for kids, but I might cry. The spirit is here. Thank you, Elder Holland. I love my mom.<\/p>\n
\nWe all are children of God. Parents help children. Parents are great teachers. They are the best teachers actually. Kids are important. Kids grow up. And families can be forever.<\/p>\n
\nTrials and temptations are hard, but we have others who can help us. Sacrifice is okay. People can lighten your burdens. They can do that with compassion. The atonement is the way to get our burdens lifted.<\/p>\n
\nWe need to press forward. Challenges are hard and unexpected. But doubting does not help. We should say, “Lord, save me!” And then the light of the Savior will guide us. Friends can help us. And they can strengthen us. We should choose the light of our Savior to guide us.<\/p>\n
\nGod answers prayers. I believe that. It might be unexpected, but he does. Laman and Lemuel lived the same life as Nephi in a lot of ways, but they had different thoughts. Why not be good? Stay good! He said that trials strengthen our faith. I don’t know about that. Really? Maybe for other people! Am I any better because of my trials? He says the book of Mormon can be fun. What? Maybe my mom thinks it’s fun, but I am just a kid. I like fiction. But I do want my prayers to be answered, so I guess I better read the book of Mormon.<\/p>\n
\nHe says he is going to talk about mortal challenges. (Maybe he had to take notes when he was a kid.) The atonement is what will help us with everything. The Savior bears our grief. He succors us. I think that is a really weird word. “Succors.” “Succors.” It makes me laugh. Anyway, Elder Oaks says pain is okay. We can do this. Love and care can help when we are depressed. We need to be humble, and that can help too. Jesus is the one who will really help us because he understands all about everything. We have to ask him for help.<\/p>\n
