We’re pleased to introduce Shannon Keeley and Brian Gibson, our newest guest bloggers and our first co-blogging team. <\/p>\n
Shannon and Brian met in an infamous English class at Brigham Young University\u00e2\u20ac\u201dinfamous because T&S regulars Steve Evans and Rosalynde Frandsen Welch were also enrolled. The chaotic events that followed will be forever shrouded in mystery, but when the dust cleared Brian and Shannon ended up married.<\/p>\n
Brian went on to attend film school at USC, where he received an MFA in screenwriting, while Shannon completed an M.A. in English literature at Loyola Marymount University. Armed with these useless degrees, they boldly went forth to hold several low-paying and highly demeaning jobs. After many years of being a poor provider Brian stumbled his way into reality and documentary television. He currently works as a Story Producer\u00e2\u20ac\u201dessentially an industry code word for writer. Shannon continued teaching composition and literature at LMU as adjunct faculty, and then left academia to write and edit curricular materials for educational publishing companies. <\/p>\n
Brian and Shannon live in Los Angeles and are raising a precocious 14-month old girl named Keeley. Keeley is so terribly cute that a team of military scientists are now studying her in an effort to harness her power and use it for the advancement of mankind, or the destruction of enemy forces\u00e2\u20ac\u201dwhatever comes first.
\nShannon continues to freelance in the educational publishing market, and she also manages the apartment complex where they live (harassing people till they pay their rent, getting yelled at by angry tenants, more overflowing toilets than Shannon cares to remember).<\/p>\n
For the longest time both Brian and Shannon were completely oblivious of the Mormon blogging community until one night they randomly decided to google Shannon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s name and discovered people on T&S were talking behind their back. Of course, they couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take that lying down and soon jumped into the fray. Now they get to pick the fights, and we can’t wait! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
