{"id":1661,"date":"2004-11-29T12:33:29","date_gmt":"2004-11-29T17:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=1661"},"modified":"2004-11-29T12:33:29","modified_gmt":"2004-11-29T17:33:29","slug":"the-unreality-of-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/index.php\/2004\/11\/the-unreality-of-life\/","title":{"rendered":"The Unreality of Life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I sit another day in my office, feeling strangely detached from the world &#8212; a feeling that I seem to have more often these days &#8212; a verse from the book of Jacob comes to mind.  <!--more-->  <a href=\"http:\/\/scriptures.lds.org\/jacob\/7\/26#26\">Jacob wrote<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I conclude this record, declaring that I have written according to the best of my knowledge, by saying that the time passed away with us, and also our lives passed away like as it were unto us a dream, we being a lonesome and a solemn people, wanderers, cast out from Jerusalem, born in tribulation, in a wilderness, and hated of our brethren, which caused wars and contentions; wherefore, we did mourn out our days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Perhaps it is the sometimes abstract and disconnected nature of the work that I do.  Perhaps it is in part because I&#8217;m a little bit sick lately, and didn&#8217;t get a good night&#8217;s sleep.  Whatever the cause, today has so far passed away like as it were unto me a dream.  <\/p>\n<p>Which probably means that I need to stop blogging and get some work done.
