\nActivity: Make a creation wheel: Using a marker, divide a paper plate (or round piece of paper) into seven pie-shaped segments. Cut one pie-shaped segment from another paper plate. Use a brad to affix the second paper plate on top of the first. As you read the creation story (slowly) have the kids draw something that represents each day of creation on one segment of the wheel. (If that didn\u2019t make any sense, google it. I didn\u2019t make it up.) Share the wheels.<\/p>\n

\nFlannel Board Story: The Brazen Serpent (point: even something that they didn\u2019t like and were afraid of could be used for their benefit)
\nActivity: If you have an alphabet die or letter tiles, use that. Otherwise, write each letter on a separate slip of paper and mix in a jar. Select one letter at a time and go around the room naming things you do not like that start with that letter. Then, discuss how those things still have a useful role to play in God\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n

\nActivity: Write the names of several seemingly not-natural household objects (couch, cell phone, a book, loaf of bread, etc.) on slips of paper and put them in a jar. Draw them out one at a time and discuss how Jesus \u201cmade\u201d them. (For example, the book: Jesus made the trees which were used for paper and the humans who had the ideas to put in the book. For older kids, you could get into more detail . . .) Explain that everything we touch was, in the first place, created by Jesus.<\/p>\n

\nActivity: Pour water into a clear glass. Explain that we are born without sin and cannot sin as a little child. Drop a few drops of red food coloring into the glass and explain that we all sin. Ask if the water is capable of getting the color out of it. (No.) Now add a few drops of bleach to the water until the water is clear again. Explain that the bleach is like the atonement.
