Well, as we all know, <a href=\"http:\/\/scriptures.lds.org\/rev\/7\/4#4\">the Apocalyse tells us that<\/a>:  &#8220;I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.&#8221;  What does this mean for latecomers?  It means, quite simply, that the quota has been filled.
