Haight passed away.  (Link <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lds.org\/newsroom\/showrelease\/0,15503,3881-1-19896,00.html\">here<\/a>.)<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nI loved his talks.  Elder Maxwell filled my brainy needs, but Elder Haight filled my need to be comforted by a sweet old man who didn&#8217;t seem to have a text, let alone stick to it.<\/p>\n<p>I particularly remember a conference talk where he talked about driving out to California with his new bride Ruby.  Knowing that I would go through the same experience in a few weeks (wedding in Utah and then back to CA to finish school), created a bond that I felt for Elder Haight.<\/p>\n<p>We miss you already.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elder David B.
