Mostly in chronological order.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/santa-baby.jpg\" alt=\"Santa Baby\" title=\"Santa Baby\" width=\"493\" height=\"277\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10407\" srcset=\"https:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/santa-baby.jpg 493w, https:\/\/timesandseasons.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/santa-baby-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jesus<\/li>\n<li>Family<\/li>\n<li>Advent calendars<\/li>\n<li>Angels<\/li>\n<li>Cinnamon<\/li>\n<li>Elf<\/li>\n<li>Cocoa<\/li>\n<li>Michael Smith&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FChristmastime-Michael-W-Smith%2Fdp%2FB00000D9VV%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dmusic%26qid%3D1259641371%26sr%3D8-1&amp;tag=mormonmomma-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\" target=\"_blank\">Christmastime<\/a> CD (especially <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cMEWhA3cD44&amp;NR=1\" target=\"_blank\">Emmanuel<\/a><\/em> and <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ySSIhuk3R7M\" target=\"_blank\">Christmastime<\/a><\/em> and\u2026well\u2026all the rest\u2026which I play at least a dozen times a day for 25 days straight and that&#8217;s only a slight exaggeration)<\/li>\n<li><em>Amahl and the Night Visitors<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Colored LED lights on a really tall tree covered with years worth of collected Hallmark ornaments to commemorate every year, our wedding, every baby, every new home, everything we could think of<\/li>\n<li>White LED lights on a not-quite-as-tall-but-just-as-majestic tree decorated with anything white, blue, or BYU (Utes may now commence the groveling)<\/li>\n<li>Warm LED icicle lights on every possible architectural element outside (not the fake &#8220;white&#8221; ones that look blue, serious ick factor)<\/li>\n<li>Christmas newsletters, maybe this year, maybe not<\/li>\n<li><em>It&#8217;s a Wonderful L<\/em><em>ife<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Miles of garland<\/li>\n<li>Nativity scenes on every spare horizontal (and selected vertical) surfaces<\/li>\n<li>Needlepoint stockings started by Grandma Moore<\/li>\n<li>Wreaths<\/li>\n<li>Candy canes<\/li>\n<li>Every single Bass &amp; Rankin Christmas show ever made (sing it with me: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rMjAf8Nwohs\" target=\"_blank\">I&#8217;m Mister Heat Blister\u2026<\/a>&#8220;)<\/li>\n<li>First Presidency Christmas Devotional<\/li>\n<li>Christmas dresses and outfits \u2014 particularly on the years when green is in fashion<\/li>\n<li>Lights on Temple Square<\/li>\n<li>Music &amp; the Spoken Word with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mormontabernaclechoir.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">MoTab<\/a> mini-concert<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.festivaloftreesutah.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Festival of Trees<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Christmas story every night (all-time favorite book forever <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FJesus-Christmas-Party-Nicholas-Allan%2Fdp%2F0385325215&amp;tag=mormonmomma-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\" target=\"_blank\">Jesus&#8217; Christmas Party<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Christmasy devotionals every morning<\/li>\n<li>Gingerbread houses<\/li>\n<li>Salvation Army bell ringers<\/li>\n<li>Gift lists<\/li>\n<li>I Spy Christmas Lights<\/li>\n<li><em>The Messiah<\/em>, preferably in a sing-along<\/li>\n<li>Tenor part of <em>All We Like Sheep<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Caroling<\/li>\n<li>Sledding<\/li>\n<li>Horse-drawn sleigh rides<\/li>\n<li>Sub for Santa<\/li>\n<li>Hot cocoa<\/li>\n<li>Christmas cookies<\/li>\n<li>French toast Christmas trees<\/li>\n<li>a. billion. presents. under. the. tree. until. it&#8217;s. utterly. embarrassing<\/li>\n<li>Shepherd&#8217;s feast<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8tMuSVVljg8\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Krueger&#8217;s Christmas<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li>Nativity reenactment<\/li>\n<li>Cookies for Santa<\/li>\n<li>Eggnog<\/li>\n<li>Red ribbon forcing children to remain upstairs<\/li>\n<li>Sweet roll wreath<\/li>\n<li>Did I mention cocoa<\/li>\n<li>Shish kabobs on the BBQ (no matter the weather)<\/li>\n<li>New Years Eve games<\/li>\n<li>Sardines<\/li>\n<li>Pickled herring<\/li>\n<li>Cheese and crackers<\/li>\n<li>Fondue<\/li>\n<li>Banging pots and pans and anything loud and noisy and obnoxious on the front porch at midnight (which would technically be January, but whatever)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Add your own!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>December is my favorite month ever.
