What a beautiful, inspiring message – and a powerful parable for our time (regardless of what kind of “quilt” needs to be knit)! These days, when faced with apparent challenges to life as we’ve comfortably “known” it for ages, so many faithful Christians (Latter-day Saints included) seem all too willing to give in to fear-based reactions, rather than thoughtful, loving responses, rooted in abiding faith. I love how Sis. Frandsen patiently illustrates – through Book of Mormon stories, yet – the simple (not necessarily easy, but simple) and so, so basic process for knitting hearts and minds together: without force or compulsory means, but through true and sincere “persuasion … long-suffering, … gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned.” Thank you for this.
