Forsake Your Sins

On the sweetness of Mormon life.

The Young Men’s lesson is on repentance. We read a verse. “Forsake your sins,” it says.

Me: What does ‘forsake’ mean?

Silence. Blank looks.

On one face, something dawns.

Young man: I know. It’s like when you break up with a girl and she says, oh my gosh, can we still be friends, and you say, NO.
