Here’s a belated recognition of George Washington’s birthday.

George Washington, Saint.

Excellent appreciation here.

George Washington treated his prisoners with respect. They were great men.

“I’m sure your position is a reasonable one, though you disagree with me AND WASHINGTON!”

This quote reminded me of a famous musical story. The great harpsichordist Wanda Landowska was a JS Bach keyboard specialist; she got into an argument with another female harpsichordist over the interpretation of ornamentation in a composition by Bach. Finally, out of frustration, Landowska declared, “My dear, you may play Bach your way, but I shall play Bach HIS way!”
