This pronouncement may outrank all others in precedence, although it only gets passing recognition today, just as a formality. I find myself in great doubt about the future, both for our great countr, and for my own personal welfare. May God grant us wisdom and courage to face the future, whatever it may hold for us, with thanks ever in our hearts.
Of course the first Thanksgiving wasn’t the pilgrims, it was in Florida.
