Good luck.
Another way to support your favorite school, church or non-profit charity is to start using the search engines that donate their ad proceeds to the charity of your choice.
My favorite is using http://www.goodsearch.com to donate $$ to the Boy Scouts. (There are others.)
I’ve printed out some extra vouchers to hand out to other customers entering B&N tomorrow.
Sadly, Matt, we’re not allowed to do that. But I really appreciate your enthusiasm and support!
Well today I went to help at the Buddy walk in our area- at one of the vendor tables, for the Woodbine Company (something like that- they sell educational type books geared to those w/disablities), they did have a display of your book. And the cover of your book decorated the cover of their product booklet!!
You probably already know that but I thought that was pretty cool.
Kathy, you might not be allowed to do it, but they didn’t tell me! : )
I had a couple books to return, so I gave vouchers to the three people standing in line when I waited to make the return — one of their totals came to a hundred and something –and I gave vouchers to those in line with me an hour later when I paid for my new books. I spent $79 and figure the people I gave vouchers to spent another $250. That should keep the Sandy SouthTown numbers respectable from about 8:30-9:30 pm.
Let us know how it turns out!
Matt, you’re a hoot. Thanks so much. We had $1K in book fair sales at the Sandy store, so I have you to thank!
Overall, we had several thousand in sales, which will enable us to buy dozens of books for local distribution. Thanks, everyone, for your support! The Barnes and Noble people were so pleased with the outcome, we’re going to do another fair in the spring.
nita, thanks for that report–very cool!
My favorite to donate to when using goodsearch.com is LDS Philanthropies-Perpetual Education, Hygene kits, ocassionaldonations to UNICEF, etc all in one click.
