This is a 911 call in which one of my former colleagues at Lewis & Clark, Jack Bogdanski, is receiving instructions for assisting his wife in the delivery of their baby. This is absolutely incredible, and I dare you to make it through the whole tape without crying.

I got through without crying. Of course, my wife and I had similar experiences, except ours were planned. I disagree with some of the things the 911 technician suggested, but that’s for another post.
:) Well I have watched birth videos and I have birthed without assistance and a birth is beautiful but I have to admit I had a problem with the 911 operator too. On her back????? Spread her legs apart???? LOL. It sounds like they had a beautiful birth anyway and congratulations to them! Next time they won’t need the 911 operator.
Check out http://www.freebirth.com for more birth stories planned UC. Hey….and my babies were on my chest before wrapped up and we cut the cord without anyone else helping, but then we knew how to do it, so when you don’t know how it might be best to wait. Cheers to them!
There goes my wife. Always trying to one-up me.
