What about the question about being a part of groups that oppose the Church? Would a client and her legal team be a group that opposes the church? Maybe we are to understand this opposition as only applying to essential church doctrines, and functions like proselyting.

In any case, even though the Church no longer requires it, I would feel wrong about taking a brother or a sister or the church itself to court without trying to resolve the matter privately beforehand, and making all concessions that I reasonably could.
